Student activities extend the school day with many varied learning experiences. Each grade level visits sites in the Houston area as part of an extensive field trip program. In addition, each class has adopted a community agency to support as a service project, this may include gathering toys at Christmas or putting together relief packages to be sent out of the country.
After school clubs and activities change quarterly and meet the needs of a variety of interests. Included in this program are DOGA Computer Club, Science Camp, Junior Girl Scouts, UHCL Art Club, Bible Fun and Crafts, Woodworking, Choir, Spanish Club and many more. There is literally something for everyone.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Christmas Pageant and Spring Play, which involve the entire student body but require auditions for the singing and acting portions of the program.
Fifth grade students are active in our beginning band program and may participate in organized athletics in several sports.
The activities offered help to round out the education of the complete child. Spirituality, Academics, Involvement and Leadership are stressed at every level.
