Activities/Organizations
Student Council
This organization consists of elected officers from each class and from the student body as a whole, and a series of committees which allow greater participation from all students. Student Council is responsible for guiding the Homecoming Spirit Week activities and the dances. In addition to that, Student Council sponsors several service projects each year, including Highway Clean Up, Santa's Day Out and Fun in the Sun for foster children, Share Your Christmas, and two blood drives. Student Council meets every other week, and the committees meet on an as needed basis.

Students who apply and are accepted into the Peer Advising Program attend a summer leadership institute, which trains them to lead other students and takes them out of their "comfort zone." These students are then responsible for "Howdy Camp," our orientation program. They make sure the camp run smoothly, and do everything from leading sessions to playing games with new students. Peer Advisors are also assigned a certain number of new students to mentor throughout the school year. Meetings are on a monthly basis.
