March
Color With A Friend – first two weeks in March
Student Council will be collecting new crayons and coloring books for Texas Children’s Hospital.
Fun in the Sun – March 25th
This is an event that is sponsored by Student Council. The Council organizes a carnival type of event for foster children in the area. We will need students to staff the areas, help with the individual children, set up and clean up, and help with the gathering and distribution of donated supplies.
Child Abuse Awareness
Volunteers help collect shoes to represent each reported case of child abuse in the county. Once the shoes are collected, students will help create the display to raise awareness of child abuse.

Easter Egg Hunt for Pearland Neighborhood Center
Volunteers prepare eggs for this event, and then help hide the eggs at the Head Start Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Christus Victor Easter Carnival
Students may volunteer to help at this carnival.
Adopt a Highway – April 22nd
Students may volunteer to help clean our designated highway area.

Blood Drive – May 11th
Mentoring Program
Students can apply to this leadership training program. If accepted, students will be trained in leadership and mentoring skills. Students will then host our annual “Howdy Camp” and will be assigned new students to mentor throughout the year.

Pages for LCMS District Convention
Students can serve as pages for the LCMS District Convention that will be held on June 22-25.

Committee Organization/Formation
Student Council will be forming committees to serve the school throughout the year. Meeting times and dates will be posted throughout the school. Committees include, but are not limited to: service, social, and publicity.

Red Ribbon Week
We sponsor a series of events to promote a drug-free lifestyle. We will need student volunteers to promote this program.

Blood Drive – date to be determined

Share Your Christmas
Student Council sponsors this event. Students collect food donations and then spend one day at the Pearland Neighborhood Center collecting additional donations, sorting, and organizing them.
Santa’s Day Out
Student Council sponsors the event for foster children in the area. This is a Christmas carnival event for which we will need students to volunteer to organize and distribute donated items, to staff the booths and games (including being Santa Claus), to set up and clean up the event, and to supervise the children attending the event.
